Re: The doctors surgery
Saw consultant guy last week but I was late. Alcohol abuse so I couldnt do the hearing test first so straight into see doc. I told him it seems to be working so he takes a look. Not happy with this he says we will have to take out the stent or whatever it is. Dont be brave tell me if its hurting too much........ Took him 3 goes at trying to tug it out and did it hurt? You bet, but I was a brave soldier. So thats that, back to square one. Make an appointment for 2 weeks time on your way out.

Patsy said others in her office had it. She is getting better. Made minced pork pie with soft pastry top tonight with mash and beans. She managed that. She likes a bit of pork, though sadly I think the blow jobs will be sidelined for a bit.

Re: The doctors surgery
Went back to the hospital today for the ear saga. He says best I dont have another grommet in seeing as the last one was causing issues would you like to try a hearing aid. OK I said, thinking it would be an invisible one. Apparently not. NHS innit. Anyway I will give it a go, back in two weeks for a fitting. Think I will postpone the quarterly haircut.

Re: The doctors surgery
Eileen's sister went to opticians yesterday. She had a fungal growth in her sinuses and the medical team made a balls of it, trying to flush it out ( damaged her sinuses). She went to opticians complaining of double vision and headache. Optician wasn't happy with whatever was behind the eye, so she was told to go immediately to the Royal Infirmary in belfast. She had a CT scan a couple of hours ago, where they found something behind the eye. She was told and i quote " It might be the fungus or it might be something else!" FFS, I could have said that to her before she went in at all

Re: The doctors surgery
Went to see diabetic nurse today at the surgery. 6 month check up. She said I am that good I dont need to take the pills anymore if I like. Blood sugar is normal along with blood pressure and everything else. Gonna live forever! I have decided to carry on taking the pills anyway, mainly cos they are free so why not? I celebrated with 2 chocolate bars.

If it's stitches, I would be inclined to think a fight with another cat. Claw cuts etc. A fox would leave larger wounds. "Life On Earth" by C. Brodie...

Re: The doctors surgery
Went to Kings Lynn hospital this morning to collect my new hearing aid. I can hear things from miles away now. Like peoples shoes squeaking on the corridor in the hospital. Then I walk to the staff car park, I dont do paying, I can hear some bird walking on the gravel 100 yards away like I'm next to her. Then I start driving, very strange. I have to turn the radio UP because the cars making too much noise. About a mile down the road I pulled it out of my ear, thats better. Its now sitting in my desk draw.
Got home and first job I did was remove a small boat roof, it slipped and as I grabbed it I twisted my arm, cant move it now without fair bit of pain. Think I have ripped something in my elbow. Jeez. Moral of the story is dont waste the resources of the NHS, it will bite you back.
