Re: The doctors surgery
This evening, eileen's sister came out of the coma after 10 days on life support. Can't speak as far as I know but was able to touch her 19 year old son's face and twiddle his ear ( she used to do that as a baby ). Not sure if any movement on left side of body. Medics still haven't a feckin clue whats wrong. Eileen is up there at the moment. She asked "Could it be viral meningitis"?? "We shouldn't rule that out" was the feckin reply.

Re: The doctors surgery
She took a few steps today. Still can't speak and hasn't eaten. I think she must have a tube into stomach but little improvement nonetheless

Re: The doctors surgery
I think I may have a kidney stone. Last night about 0100hrs I got a dull pain in my left lower back which seemed to keep time with me exhaling. By 0200hrs, the pain was continuous and agonising. I was going to phone 999 for an ambulance but I was frightened I'd wake up the whole street. When I got my OPs the last time they gave me TRAMADOL to take home with me, so I took one of those which eventually kicked in at 0330hrs. I've phoned my boss and explained what's happened and told him I'm going to let the pain-killer wear off and see if the pain comes back. If it does; I'm off to Docs, if not; I'll give it the weekend to see if it comes back. Thing is, once I take the TRAMADOL I,m not allowed to drive so I couldn't have went to work anyway.

Re: The doctors surgery
TRAMADOL must have worn off by now and I feel OK. Did have a bit of pink in urine this morning but OK now. I must admit when the pain stopped at 0330hrs it was liking turning a switch off. Agonising pain one minute then blessed relief the next. I think the wee stone must have passed into the bladder.
