Re: The doctors surgery
Badders innit, You can think your fit enough but age will get you no matter,
1 of my nieghbours who is older than me played it, he hobbles about now.
Exercise by all means but dont bash yourself about, it aint good for old joints,
Blokes being blokes will think they can handle it,but your wrong, swimming or walking is good enough,
Janet thought she was still like a donkey carrying all the shopping, nah Now attends the sports injury clinic twice a week, she is slowly getting better but the silly cow is 60 in April,
Stop it Take things easy, but exercise, put the shuttle cocks on Ebay

Re: The doctors surgery
Mmmm...I'm getting worried now. My urine is a funny dark colour. That "side of my back" may be my kidney. I'm getting an emergency appointment tomorrow, stuff this.

Get a sample ready Cam, Saves trying when you get there,
I get my Kidneys checked every few years, You have to drink 10 gallon of water then have an ultra sound, Deep joy when you finally get to wee after
Did you find out why under your eyes was dark, Maybe its the same thing

Re: The doctors surgery
Kidney infection most like. I've had two of them. Nothing will get rid of the pain except antibiotics ( and only ones specially for kidney infections). Keep taking the ibuprofen, they'll dull the pain and put at hot water bottle against your lower back. The antibiotics will get rid of the pain in 12 to 24 hours. I feel for you Cam, its a horrible affliction.

Re: The doctors surgery
Sounds like a kidney infection, need to check to see if you have kidney stones, the discoloured urine could be due to not drinking enough water. If you have an infection you need to make sure the urine is diluted to prevent more pain, so get it checked out as antibiotics will quickly cure a kidney infection but believe me stones are not nice and very very painful.

Re: The doctors surgery
I've got an appointment on 20th December to discuss the results of my blood tests which I had because of the discolouration around my eyes. I'll see if they can give me everything at once tomorrow.

Re: The doctors surgery
Been at Doc's. Urine was clearer today, (still darker than normal), he reckons I've had a small kidney stone which he thinks has passed since I didn't take any more Ibuprofen since 8pm last night and I haven't had any more pain. I've got a 10 day course of anti-biotic (Trimethoprim, for all the apprentice docs out there ), plus he has given me 3 months worth of Iron tablets (Ferrous Fumarate) to raise the iron levels in my blood. He also says my Thyroid levels are borderline...I'm just a feckin' mess really

When he said Thyroid levels borderline, did he mean under or over active? You must be hypo cos you can eat whatever you want and not put on an ounceThe Lone Ranger wrote:Been at Doc's. Re: The doctors surgery
I think if you had passed a kidney stone you wouldn´t be sitting there telling us about it you would be flat on your back, the pain is horrendous. Still it is good to hear that everything is OK(ish)

Re: The doctors surgery
Been to the sports injurys clinic for a going over, Bend over in front of the mirror she said
Sure enough my back was just straight from the hips to my neck , Got to be curved she said which is fair enough, So got a wheat bag and a bending all the way down, Feels loads better already, Going to be 6 visits i recon, You have to do these things to keep fit, Sprinted out of the place like a 7 year old, Yes i know what your going to say
