I've had CT and MRI more than once, MRI are a bit scary and uncomfortable, you havnt to move one little bit, strange noises going on too, bit sci fi like

Re: The doctors surgery
Had a CT scan done in Manchester some years back, when the appointment letter for the CT scan came it also gave a date a couple of weeks after the scan to go back and see the consultant who requested the scan,,, I attend appointment, consultant starts to give me a ticking off for wasting his time by not turning up for the scan,,, err, just a minute Doc, I was there, want me to describe the waiting room, CT scan room etc,,, then lost the results,,, another two month wait for it all to be done again...
A few years later the exact same happend to a friend, same feckin hospital...
So don't count your chickens just yet Cam...
And on the back of that one, Annie had to have a follow up scan for her pancreas issue, waited months to have the scan, told to phone in two weeks for results, she phones and is told results will be sent to your doctor, she phones doctor on a weekly basis for about a month, still no results, she phones the hospital again only to be told the same thing, results will be sent to your doctor, about another month later they eventually arrive, her doctor tells her they have found a cyst on her pancreas, and it would have to be monitered,,, bit worrying as there is a slim chance it could be cancerous...
Few days back she gets a letter giving a date for a further follow up scan, letter also says no cyst was found on previous scan but they still want to moniter her pancreas,,, WTF,,, left hand doesn't know what right is doing...

They said to Cam 3 weeks for results but do not get stressed as you probably wont get to see them.

Re: The doctors surgery
Went to see Mum on Saturday down in Hastings in the new nursing home. She looks a lot better than when she was in the Hospital. Got big bruises on her hands like shes been 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. To be fair though she can barely move. Says it hurts too much. I was told about the secret supply of chocolate though, she can move for that! Told her next time I go down I will bring her some Red Bull and she will make it on to the balcony. The worst thing about it is though, and yes its selfish, shes only 22 years older than me. Not looking forward to it at all mate......

Re: The doctors surgery
I notice nobody has used this thread for close on a month. All fit and well then eh?
Today I had an appointment at the Hospital. They inform me I have glue ear. I need to have a grommet inserted.

Re: The doctors surgery
Had blood tests yesterday at doctors, must have been about 100 of us all lined up then marched into room with a conveyor belt full of medics sticking in needles, extracting blood and labelling tubes. Quite effective really and results will be back in 4 days (minus weekends).
