You see, this is what confuses me. You are Englishmen giving an honest opinion, why aren't the rest of you doing the same? Why is it we are accused of being a drain on the Treasury and we are over subsidized, (supposedly), compared to the rest of the UK, in short why does England not want to get shot of us? We are more than willing to go!

May has basically told the Sturgeon 'I call the shots round here, get back in yer box.' So, we seem to have a female leader with balls, well 2 of em actually. Time will tell who has the biggest pair. No doubt the Sturgeon will be spending big bucks, not hers obviously, running round 23 European states to try to get them on side. Good luck on that one as it only takes ONE of them to veto your application. The Greek fiasco, among a few others will concentrate their minds. Cant think of any EU ultra left wing States either that may politically be inclined towards you. You have already been warned you will not be allowed to use Sterling as a currency. Best bet then is get friendly with Putin. Bet he would love a nice Western European base for his war planes, Navy and nuclear subs. That will concentrate even Trumps mind. Imagine, Russian tank exercises on his lovely new golf course.

Sorry but there were more of you less willing to go as you put in at the last vote, hence your still here, the SNP like many others seem to forget that...

There is nothing legally binding that could stop Scotland using sterling as at the moment, it belongs to all countries of the UK. They could even use a Scottish pound and tie it to the sterling rate. With regards to only one of the other countries being able to block a Scotland EU membership bid, most of them are pretty pissed off with London at the moment. The only one I can see having a problem with it is Spain. Finally, with regards to the "ultra left" countries, name one. East Europe is and always has been far right. germany is probably the closest but every political party in europe is taking heed of the rise of the right and formulating policies accordingly. The best way out is and Independent Scotland and Independent England/Wales. Do it now, sign bilateral trade agreements, common currency etc. Then let Scotland go to the EU if it wants with the pre agreed trade pact with England intact. Everyone's a winner. England gets to keep out the migrants ( which seems to be the overriding factor, not any economic argument ), Scotland gets the european markets and the English one, common currency etc. Park the submarines off the old pier in Brighton. Agree to split the oil. Simples

No. Gibraltar is protection for the Med. Cant trust that to the Spanish for fecks sake and Falklands is full of English speaking chaps who would never vote to leave the UK. And the Channel Islands are there to hide British money. Isle of man is of course for POWs.
