One of my most often used tools is my angle grinder. Safety is key here Reg, mine has attcked me on more than one occasion. Buy the 1mm Bosch blades for cutting. Will last forever if you dont put pressure on it, just let it cut gently through or along holding it straight and steady. Googgles a must, but not beer ones.Mcqueen wrote:I didnt, felt like John Wayne i did the guy had moved on from wood and started with the steel, so i bought a portable angle grinder,Mcqueen wrote:3 missions this morning 2 should be a breeze the other will be ok if i dont get caught

Re: What are you doing today??
Saw the Queen driving one of them, coming out of a Sandringham side gate. Neither of us waved....... My son in law is on his second one. The first one cost him an arm and a leg in repairs, so he sells that for peanuts and promptly buys another one. That has been sat in his drive for about 6 months now without moving, nice flat tyre as well. Before that he had a LWB Shogan import for donkeys years, he never spent a penny on it....... Nowt as strange as folk.
Finished Patsys Octavia today so I can take it for another MOT. Gave it a good clean and dabbed some silver Hammerite on a couple of rust spots. Looks like fecking nice car now. But best bit was bought some stuff off ebay to clean ally wheels, the front ones were virtually black. Spray it on, rub a bit with brush, wash it off. Jeez, they are like new! £16 for a litre it was, only used about an eggcup full. Brill! MG is appearing at Swaffham Classic Car Show on Sunday. Now the wheels are pretty clean but I will do the INSIDES. Might even paint the brake calipers while wheels are off. Now I have got red, black, silver or white. Or maybe one of each just for a laugh.

Bilt Hamber Surfex HD. Made a mistake on price, it was only £10.95 inc p+p. No elbow grease needed but the wifes toothbrush might come in handy.3rdforum wrote:What was the name of the stuff for the alloys??

Re: What are you doing today??
Today Mathew, or to be correct yesterday, I go Monday night quiz, we'd decided at football on Saturday a bunch of us would turn up, eight of us did and two after quiz had finished,,, we won...
But I decide to take tram to pub where quiz is, bank holiday bus time table a waste of time, tram time table says normal service...
I get to tram stop (picture below) I purchaced my "Return Ticket", waiting on tram a white transit van pulls up where container is in mid picture, oh, that site is a old petrol station now a car wash, a Rab C Nesbit lookalike gets out of van, white vest on,,, and heads to rear doors of van, opens them and pulls out a bulky rolled up carpet and drags it inside building???,,, I say to guy on platform next to me "are we witnessing a murder"
But that ain't my issue, I get tram station on way home, no feckin trams, display board says "Sunday service only",,, that is not what web site said,,, ended up on a bus as many others at tram stop did...
My grief,,, return tram ticket £3, had to spend another £2 on bus ticket...
This is one bank holiday I will not forget...
Two feckin quid down...
