Was up the shops today. bought a pair of shoes. Lassie behind the till takes a £20 note I handed her, whips the top of a marker pen and swipes the note. Puts top back on pen and hands me shoe box...I took the top of the pen, swiped the shoe box, put top back on and handed it back. If looks could kill!

Bought a Humax Freesat box today. Sky is getting the boot. Fed up paying those gits a fortune every month. I'll phone them on Monday. They'll ask me how they can make me stay, I'll say they can't. They'll offer me half price, I'll refuse it because I really am getting rid of them. After about a half hour phone call which probably costs me a tenner, they'll say we need a month's notice. I know all this already after I cancelled Movies and Sports a while back. I was paying about a grand a year to watch telly. Ain't happening anymore.

Finished painting house. had everything folded up and boxed away ready to go in van.  was pissing down outside so I decided to move my van all of 10 feet closer to the door from the street into the customers drive. There were about 10 steps from front door down to driveway, so I reckoned I'd park right at the bottom but would still leave room to open the tailgate. I forgot about the feckin handrail that stuck out about a foot from the steps. You guessed it, took my feckin n/s tailight out. 60 feckin euro to replace

Thats a great holiday, we did that with Pennine Marine from Skipton, It was August and it rained everyday but we all enjoyed it, Janet soon get the hang of how to work the locks (well i was steering the boat) she had a right set of arm muscles when we finished  

We have an on board crew who do all the driving, and prepare all meals so it is also All Inclusive (another first).  There will be 2 other passengers so 4 of us on a 70 footer sounds OK, if I don´t like them I can always slip while next to one and Oops overboard they go.

Think you have both been brave and correct in giving up the long haul holidays you have been and done it and ticked the boxes after all one's health should come first. There are plenty of places around Europe which should keep you occupied and I know Jim would love a weekend at Brands Hatch.
