Re: What are you doing today??
Hello,,, cottage has got Internet but none of us can connect to it, piggybacking using Annie's phone at moment...
Photos don't do place justice it's lovely...
So today Mathew we went to the highest pub in Englands 1700 odd feet, about a 40 minute drive on single track road to get there, totally barn but spectacular scenery...

Then Cam we actually did watch the sheep dog think, farm is a sheep farm, specialise in black sheep, old couple who have it live in other half of farm building we're in, woman is batty as hell but lovely, so Annie's sister wants to see sheep dog thing, bare in mind my uncle had a farm so it ain't nothing new to me, so it's arranged for 3 o'clock, 3 o'clock comes and were meeting farmer in field next to farm, sister says its to cold I ain't coming,,, so three of us who had no interest in it ended up freezing our tits and nuts off,,, then farmer says there a steam train comes past every Saturday at 4 o'clock, oh, Settle Carlisle line runs past back of farm, so we end up watching that...
Tomorow, pub, two football matches,,, no hills, no sheep, no trains...

Re: What are you doing today??
Been working on the boat again. Final push now to get it launched in the Spring. Jacked it up little by little so its off the trailer so I can get a 1".x 3" hardwood strip fixed all along the bottom of the keel. The boat already came with holes drilled through the inner and outer skins and I have some 150x12mm bolts to go through so went to get my auger bits out for the job....... Got 10mm and 13mm and bigger but no bloody 12mm one. Normal drills are not quite long enough. Jeez. So I had to go to Toolstation in Kings Lynn to get one. Nice ride in the MG in the sun though.

At mother's bedside. Won't be long now. Couple of days very max I would think. They had to give her morphine earlier. If it was me, I would have thought long and hard about quadrupling the dose. As they saying goes, euthanasia doesn't result in more people dying, it results in less people suffering.

Re: What are you doing today??
There are other holes to be made........ Engine cooling intake, echo sounder and heads (toilet). Add the propshaft and bilge keels each side and that makes a total of,,,,,,,, 28 holes. The exhaust, bilge pumps and sink outlets are just above the waterline but these have a gooseneck on the inside. Regular inspection and maintainence is the key. Old boats used to have copper to stop barnacles clinging on. Anti foul paint with a high copper content is what we use now.Mcqueen wrote:Its the holes that bother me
