What are you doing today??

Tonight Mathew it's the pool leagues trophy presentation doo, DJ/karaoke, good spread of food, few beers, and off course the dishing out of the silverware,,, that said team won SFA this season although one of our lads is picking up an individual trophy for eight balling a guy, that's when you pot all of your balls plus the black in one go pre you opponent potting a ball so we will have a bit silverware at our table to drink to...

That said I'm a bit worried that the inch of snow we have may start drifting and cause travel chaos so my plan is to head off early to get there...

    

Just had the boss on the phone asking if we can use A/L to mitigate tomorrow and Friday's bad weather. I was on A/L all next week bar Friday 9th, so I've moved dates (Wed & Thur) to tomorrow and Friday. So I'm off now until next Wednesday.

Stuffed if I'd use up holidays cos of a bit snow, drive van around the corner and say your stuck and claim an overnighter...


What state would the country be in if the snowplough/gritter drivers had your attitude, the country would come to a standstill,,, mmmm, let me think about that one...

Just had daughter no.1 on the phone. Her boiler has packed in. Her hubby is in Switzerland and I can't move my car out the street due to a foot of snow! Anyhow, we seem to have solved the problem, she has a pump which takes the excess water from condenser and diverts it up to the loft and out to drain pipe. Seems that has frozen, hence boiler stopped working. Got her to pull pipe out of pump outlet and boiler kicked back in. Only problem with that is the outlet hose comes out of top of pump and it goes into loft without a break in hose. I've told her to cut it about 2 or 3 feet from pump and divert it into bucket which she can empty every day or so. Hubby can fix hose when he gets back! Jobs a good 'un!

Radiator leaking from bottom in bathroom. Water was coming through kitchen ceiling which gave me a clue.   Just turned both valves off so thats sorted for now. Shite radiators from Screwfix, second one to do this, so looking at quality second hand ones on ebay. A job lot of 5 new ones in Cambridge for currently £30 or one in Kings Lynn at £1.50. Hmmm, I'll check the wallet.......

Been out and cleared a load of the snow again. I think I've shamed everyone else into coming out!
