Re: UK Weather
Only got about 1" of snow on the ground here but a biting easterly wind. The dogs didnt get a proper walk, I just let them out in the yard and stood sheltering by the garage. I have scraped the snow off the MG ready for my shopping trip in a minute. Nearly fell off my boat yesterday so spare a thought for those fishermen and others working at sea round our coasts.

All my clearing snow from around the car was in vain, it came back through the night! I'll have to get out with the shovel today again.

Re: UK Weather
Yesterday Annie was working out of her Rochdale office, sat on motorway not moving for over two hours getting there, she says although there was snow on the ground the roads were well gritted and clear of snow, I checked on Internet to see what problem was, it just said "Congestion Snow".
So today Annie's first job is to accompany someone to an appointment at the Manchester Royal Infirmary, then after that head to the Rochdale office, I'm looking at BBC news and read this:-

I text her at hospital and say don't even think about heading to Rochdale, I then look at the Motorway live Camera website,,, where's the snow, three photos are junction 20, 21 and 22 where they have shut the motorway...

Re: UK Weather
They were fecked last night as well, got tram to quiz, it's final destination should have been Bury but was terminating at Victoria Station, I was ok as I was getting off stop before Victoria but a lot of unhappy people on it wondering how they were going to complete journey, lines to Rochdale, Oldham and Eccles were also terminating pre their destinations, absolute joke, Annie has shown me photos of around her office in Rochdale yesterday, there was two to three inches of snow, motorway pitchers above are right on top of the Pennines and they don't show a lot of snow, it's a joke...

Just back from Asda, some shelfs pretty bare, bread, potatoes, certain veg, chickens, don't know if it's panic buying or delivery trucks not getting through, suspect the second...

Still waiting for a humane mouse trap ordered a week ago, yep, we have at least one fecker living here rent free and Freddie has a hungry snake, say no more. I have a tracking number, its royal mail, in system Sunday then blank? Royal Mail makes Hermes look super efficient..

Re: UK Weather
Wee dusting of snow overnight, not too much though. I've cleared a big part of our turning area and the snow is banked up for about 4'. Won't melt until about mid-August!

Re: UK Weather
Fife council have just stated ALL schools in Fife will remain closed tomorrow. Most of the roads are fine but the pavements are still horrendous. Plus school grounds have still to be cleared of snow. I'm getting fed up with it now...

Bit of rain melting the snow. Could do with a real downpour though.
