Re: UK Weather
Well it seems we in East Anglia may get some rain tomorrow. We have had none for weeks on end. I dont put the roof up on the MG anymore but to be brutally honest its too fecking hot driving it like that but I do, its an English thing probably. I have even bought some sunglasses. Talking of glasses I broke my reading glasses so I heard you can get them in Pound shops so I went in one last week. Poundworld I think it was called. Anyway when I got there big signs saying closing down, everything must go blah blah. Walked in and it was almost bare but luckily there were some reading glasses. Buy one get one free it said, £1. Then underneath it said 50% off. Picked up a brown pair, cos I'm old and a blue pair, cos I'm a boy and made my way to the till. Yep, 50p for two pairs of glasses! Sadly though there was feck all else in the shop that took my fancy.

Re: UK Weather
Weekend (Sat/Sun) there's a local music festival we attend, all tribute bands, Saturday its heavy metal stuff that we don't go to, Sunday more mainstream bands, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Madness, Queen Etc... Last year we got absolutely soaked, about an hour in to gig sky's just opened and we got drenched, so this year we're thinking great weathers been fantastic for weeks so we're in for a good one,,, Wrong,,, about a week to go until gig long range weather forecast shows the Saturday as having a couple of hours of thunder and lighting which happened, and the Sunday we're going as torrential rain all day, Arghhhhhhhhhh... So plan is we are going to meet in pub next to park where gigs on and play it by ear,,, Sunday morning comes, it's absolutely pissing down but weather forecast is now showing a dry spell between 4 o'clock and 7 o'clock so we all meet in pub as planned, this is one o'clock and rain has stopped, so a few beers down us in pub just to give it time to see what weather was doing we head gig, turned out OK, dry with sun breaking through cloud ocassionly... Last two bands on we're Pink Floyd on the indoor tented area stage about 7:30 then Queen on the outdoor main stage where only the stage is under cover to finish off the gig... So we're watching Pink Floyd in the tented area and sure enough as predicted the sky's open up, boy did that tented area fill up, suspect everyone's hoping downpour will pass over pre Queen coming on, but it didn't,,, once Pink Floyd finished we headed back to pub, don't know how many stayed on to watch Queen as rain did not give up...
So back to the weather, months of perfect weather then the one day we want to be dry it screws up, Arghhhhh,,, to be honest we had a brilliant day, ok it wasn't shorts and T-shirts as we expected but we only got a bit damp compared to absolutely soaked the previous year...
