Good morning everyone

A lovely day here on the Reef

Morning all. Not long up. My mum had to go to the "emergency doctor on call" at 1am. She had terrible pain going from her jaw up into her ear. Apparently it is a sign of angina and needs emergency treatment if this severe. The doc gave her 2 painkilers and sent her home telling her to visit her normal doctor today.

They closed down the accident/emergency at her local hospital 4 months ago to save money in order to pay off the banks debts that the EU has insisted upon. If she had a heart attack, an ambulance would have to be called and then transport here 55 miles to the nearest "centre of excellence" which happens to be in the centre of Galway city ( more delays). We reckoned in total it would take 2 hours to get into a hospital. 2 HOURS!!!! and you're having a heart attack!!! Anyway, I'm going to see her today so I'll talk later.

Been a nice mild and sunny day down here in the south. :sun4:

Not ben around much today, very hard day like a massive cull seeing so many blokes have to leave a job all in one day. Funeral as well, not a good day. Still Craft fair tomorrow and half day work Sat, then 8 days off, sort of.
