Bars and restaurants in Puerto Santiago have been ordered by police to remove the tables and chairs blocking public spaces i.e. pavements.

There's sod all to do in town anyway without stopping the couple of bars having seats on the pavement. Not just for the convenience of smokers but in the summer months some of the tiny bars are stifling and sitting outside listening to the music having a drink is lovely. What is wrong with people they obviously don´t want the tourists.

I can see why some people would object there. Some of the footpaths in Peurto Santiago are very narrow particularly as you walk to Playa Arena. However, those that have adequate room, I don't see why they should stop doing it???
