Jet 2
So they inform me they wont be flying until 17th June. New Covid cases in UK and Spain are now falling so dont you think that decision is a bit premature Jet2? Thats 10 weeks FFS! A week is a long time in politics as we all know but 10 weeks is a fecking lifetime! I have a return for me + an out and return for me and Patsy in that time period so I am slightly pissed off. My outward flight on 2nd of May is still live with Wizzair so I have not given up all hope yet. If it leaves I will be on it.

Re: Jet 2
I am simply hoping to keep the economy afloat and specially the airlines. If I cant go then I cant go end of. I have been a good boy shopping twice a week and been to doctors for pills once. As innit says, a fortnight per gallon! I walk the dogs once a day but see nobody except lycra clad, usually a bit overweight middle aged men on bikes wizzing down the main road. Tomorrow I have a special outing to collect an order from Screwfix. They have stopped deliveries. Screwfix just happens to be next to Lidl so two birds killed and hopefully no humans.

Re: Jet 2
Does anybody believe in Sods law ? we have lost 2 holidays to Spain this year so are due our cash back, before we booked we paid a lot of attention to the exchange rates and when the euro dropped to 118-4 to the £ we pounced and ordered online with Ramsdens , now we have the money for the cancelled holidays and nowhere to spend our euros until January 2021

Yeah, me. A recent new pensioner and its just building up in my bank account. Feck all to spend it on. Just to make matters worse I got 3k euros in an envelope so I dont even care what the exchange rate is. I'm hoping for parole soon.searcher wrote:Does anybody believe in Sods law ? we have lost 2 holidays to Spain this year so are due our cash back, before we booked we paid a lot of attention to the exchange rates and when the euro dropped to 118-4 to the £ we pounced and ordered online with Ramsdens , now we have the money for the cancelled holidays and nowhere to spend our euros until January 2021

Re: Jet 2
Was feeling a bit bored this afternoon so I thought I would go through all the airlines and find out when they think they might start and how much for a week return. Starting with the earliest all from Southern England.
Easyjet. May 1st. £86
Wizzair. May 2nd £40
Ryanair. May 10th £184
TUI. May 15th £327.
Norwegian. June 2nd £100
Jet2. June 17th. £80.
Forgot to check BA but as you can see a difference of opinion. Strangely Jet 2 have not cancelled our booking for May 28th yet. (£80 each). And my flight with Wizzair on 2/5 is still live. It cost £16.99. Return is €20 but I have not booked one yet.
You can still get there now via Spanish mainland and Tenerife North but only if you have residencia.

Re: Jet 2
It was cheapest from Belfast........ £289. They clearly dont want to sell seats then. Still waiting for my credit card bill to check they returned £89 for the flight I had for 17th March.

Re: Jet 2
Another 3 weeks of imprisonment then. That blows out the May 2nd flight. Peeps will start rebelling soon you know, the promised money is not coming and the insurance companies are not paying out on business policies. 3 weeks is fine you just treat it like an unwanted holiday, or illness whatever. Shit happens but 6 weeks is going to hurt society. I am lucky, both Patsy and Jack are still working and I get my pension and I dont have 4 battling kids to sort out. Peeps know now to keep the distance, wash the paws and wear a mask if you can. I dont have any but I do have a full face helmet, that'll do for now! Easyjet have come up with a plan, leave middle seat empty. Perfect idea, add a mask and jobs a good'n.

Its the air pressure change! Same thing causes me to start coughing soon after takeoff and just before landing. I am gonna be real popular.

Jet2 have cancelled my flight for 26 June. Wankers. Have rebooked it for 6 July now. An extra £8 each as well cheeky sods. Took me a good half hour to navigate through website as well. Maybe 3rd time lucky then?

Re: Jet 2
Do you think the Spanish will let you in Vince and with 14 days in isolation both ways is it worth it still isolation did not apply to you any how ?? I was out there for two weeks of it and it's a different kind of lock down to what we came back to they meant it and took no prisoners not like in the UK where we played with it.

Re: Jet 2
The 14 day isolation thing is not gonna happen. They want tourists. As for this end it was Priti Silly Patels idea and that aint gonna happen either although it should have 3 months ago. There are reasons I need to get out there not just drink beer and sit in the sun. (This afternoons plan anyway). Lol.

Re: Jet 2
What is the matter with these clowns? They have cancelled my flights for 6th July now. I have now booked with Ryanair for the day previous so Saved a tenner too. Booked return with Jet2 for 20th July. They better have some blue Smirnoff on board.

Re: Jet 2
Jet2 now inform me they have moved my flight from 11.20 am to 10.20pm so thats cost me a days car hire. Now I cant check in online because it shows the original flight. Tried phoning, no chance, so sent a email and they say they will reply within 14 days. I dont want a reply just fix your feck up. Tossers. Seems their app doesnt work either, just a long line of complaints from disgruntled punters. Reg, you were dead right about these clowns. 7 sleeps now til I go fortunately with Ryanair who will probably get there on time. Seems they have binned the scratch cards, good.
