Cant believe the contingent haven't mentioned it but the Scotch twats in the final! Doubt if I would wager even one of your fivers on the outcome!

First Brit in 74 years since Bunny Austin was in the final in '38. Fred Perry won it in '36. Still a great achievement!

Re: Wimbledon innit
Hope he wins it.
He seems a good lad...heard him talking last night and he said all he wants to do is to finish the game of tennis and get home to his dogs...top pro.
People call him boring but maybe he is just a lad who likes the easy life and sitting at home with the dogs and reading a book.
Good luck to him...plus he's a Hibee which aint too bad either

Hard luck to Murray.
But he was up against a genius...probably the best ever.
He done Scotland proud all the same.

The inevitable happened, maybe if he had a bit of personality he would have a few more behind him I agree with Reg's description of him.

Re: Wimbledon innit
Why are people obsessed with his personality?
Do you want him to run around like Beckham,Giggs,Terry hugging the limelight pretending to be a nice guy and then knock him off his pedestal when he makes a mistake?
The British are obsessed with playing up to the cameras
Why should he put on a false persona like some 2nd bit publicity hore craving attention to please silly people who read the sun??
He plays tennis very well and when not playing he likes the easy life...whats wrong with that?
He has won a fan here for his committment and play, not for putting a big fake smile on to cameras so armchair sports fans can like him more.
Well done Murray.

I wouldn't describe myself as a Sun reader, far from it, but I'm with Gypsy and Reg. His mum looks a barrel of laughs too eh?

Re: Wimbledon innit
I do read the Sun in the pub sometimes, takes about 10 minutes usually, including at least 3 minutes on page 3 of course. I got into trouble once for taking the piss out of News of the World readers.

He's as colourful as a glass of water but at least he is getting better in the finals ( he's won a set now). Hes a bit unlucky to be around when 3 of the biggest stars ever are at the height of their powers.

I used to play in his club in Tooting. Fond of a few jars was Jimmy, fond of the ladies as well.
