Just in case anyone was wondering why I haven,t posted recently Val &myself are just back from the doctors we have both been under the weather for a while now but should be back on the road again soon , we got a bag of medicine from the clinic that was bigger than our Mercadona shop [almost] so fingers crossed

Today Mathew i've done bugger all. Neighbour phoned me, saw me sat in the window watching TV, Are you alright Reg, "Yes i'm slowing down for the weekend , , "why not" he said, Just what i thought,

We are both fine now , in fact we went bowling yesterday we went for a bowling coaching session and we even had a Spanish international as our coach and he even had a Scottish accent, booked in for more of the same next week and managed to get tickets for the bowling club Burns supper on Saturday night[ result] this is really the first day I would say was sunbathing weather as most days have been cold and very windy since we arrived, had the most fantastic lunch on Monday in the Watermelon in San Telmo, how nice it was to be served by really professional staff , the food as usual was simple but very well cooked and presented we both had chicken en brochette which was succulent and cooked to perfection it was served with roasted aubergine, courgettes, shallots, carrots and wedge potatoes we just sat overlooking Las vistas beach en joying our food and drinks ,it was sheer bliss



P.S our bowling coach was Graham a fellow Scot who is resident here but really does play bowls for Spain

Spot on searcher, I think it has been positively chilly at least since Monday but I'm blaming my visitor as she always brings crap weather with her. Glad to hear you are feeling better and I am going to be really cheeky now and copy your post and add it to the review section on the Tenerife forum as like you I think the Watermelon is a great place to eat and more people should be aware of it.

Been shopping and not much else. Was gonna buy Patsy a book for her birthday but they have sold out. Shame.

Saturday, I am spending the day down in Kent playing boats.

Plan B today weather is not so nice so going into El Medano for a wee break ,maybe have lunch there we shall see

I have Macie today so will be kept busy

Just back from Medano ,it was lovely and bright with just a gentle breeze , had a spot of lunch , nothing to shout about and as it was so nice decided to come back for a bronzy, no such luck ,it is still dull and overcast in the Golf ,hence me posting this at the moment,getting colder as I sit ,so off I go to try and get warm [nudge nudge]

The weather was absolutely lovely every day when I was there a couple of weeks ago so its not always like that. If it is going to cloud over it generally does it in the afternoon. Have you sussed out those buses yet? The first bus and the last are always on time, but otherwise you may as well forget the timetable. The 450 goes to Las Galletas which is quite nice, plenty of bars and restaurants and a nice Marina. The 115 goes direct to Santa Cruz as well which can make a nice day out. Hopefully the weather will be better by next Wednesday when me and Patsy turn up.

Buses run on the same principle here as they do in Greece ,they use G.M.T. a.k.a. Greek maybe time .

Feel sorry for the drivers though, they must get pissed off being asked the same questions day in day out.

We also had a bit of cloud in the afternoon, around 3.30 and it was chilly. Tonight took cardi down to Los Abrigos but didn´t need it. Maybe the alcohol was keeping me warm

painting living room all because of a bloody Christmas tree !.

Put tree on other side of dinning room at Christmas and turned table around so it was portrait in room we liked it there made room look bigger so decided to leave it there after decs came down BUT the 5 pieces of artwork we have one the wall that make up one abstract piece of art were now out for line with table so in my wisdom moved it and decided to touch up the paint where it had been no bother while one touched up above TV and surprise surprise paint dried back a total different shade of 'Rum Caramel 4' so now have lines on wall.
So I now have to paint the whole bloody wall again thought about suing Dulux but the mix was 4 year old !

Oh and while 'we' are on we might as well paint the other walls to freshen them up !.


So wish the football had been on today

oops, bit like me putting a few tiles on that weather had broken. I broke another 8 in total doing it, might as well re done whole roof.
I am clearing out my shed today, sun is out, yes read again.
