Also have to get the dent repaired in Eileens car before we hand it over.

Morning all, been and got hire van, filled it up with all the flat-pack crappy furniture. I'm waiting for the rain to stop before I go up to the council recycling centre (fancy name for tip). @Adam Mint. I phoned the council and they said it's OK to go in a hire van as long as it isn't commercial works.

When living in Edinburgh garden had those Leyland trees that grow like hell, cut them back and borrowed works transit van to take them to tip, they would not let me in as it was a commercial vehicle, I explained that I had borrowed the van, but no go, the sign writing on the side of the van clearly explained the company business, nothing to do with gardening or landscaping...
Just encourages fly tipping don’t it...

Good evening. I have been to the dump too. Got rid of one of those crappy dysons that cost more than 8 times what they are worth and an old toilet. Where should I put this toilet? In the hardcore skip. But its got a wooden se.....Never mind.

I took a Dyson up as well! It's damn confusing at them recycling centres...16 different skips we have and also those big steel containers like the cargo ships carry. TVs and computers and stuff go into those. But for wood derived furniture they have skips for natural wood, another for Laminates and chipboard and another for the likes of MDF and processed wood. The guy had to jump in and fish out some of my stuff 'cos I put it in the wrong one! Well, what else do they get paid for? When I dropped off the bunk beds at the daughter's house, a wee sofa, some large plastic toys, a burnt table and a wooden planter (still with earth in) miraculously appeared. "Can you take these up as well dad?". What are fathers for if not helping out their children? Up early tomorrow as window guys arrive at 08:00am sharp. I'll get the mugs of coffee on the go for them...best to keep on the right side of guys that are changing the fabric of your home.

Those Dysons are overpriced crap, always breaking down. I got a £39 one from the Argos Value range now, it sucks! No seriously its just as good, and lighter. Good morning then, nice and sunny today, just gonna walk the dog and then down to marina.
