    Have a look at this video about slum shantys in the Philippines. Electricity there is the most expensive in Asia so they've come up with a novel way of lighting their homes. An empty large plastic bottle filled with water, little piece of wriggly tin and fit it in your corrugated iron roof.

    Nope all my own work.
    I also just realised that when they get thirsty they can pull the bottle down, use the boiling water to make a cup a charlie, then I realised that would be stupid as they would no be able to see where they were pouring the water.

    I think thats a brilliant idea, I love saving money. Now if only I had a tin roof and no windows........

    Always amazes me in them poor country's, All dying of hunger and bad water, But they can manage a few dozen baby's, I know the tele's crap, but come on

    Have a look on the vistasur web cam, that great big lamp shines enough light on our place, so you can read in bed, plus its never cold on a night, the power that kicks out, No we havent got a tin roof either,

    Simple, we have curtains, Its the future, I also keep both canopys out, I got some legs put on incase its windy, I its a bit bright down our end, i think some on compost heap complained, they turned the bulbs out on the ones inland, People on the beach swimming most nights, Its like daytime,
