Mexican had a gas problem so we went Italian. Spaghetti con Polpetto (meatballs ) for me and Lasagne and chips for Mermaid. Garlic bread starters... 8/10.

Sunday I had the penultimate beef joint. (I buy as many as possible at Xmas when they sell it at £4kg and stick them in the freezer) Only one left now so I will wait for the next special day. This week was Brexit obviously. Accidentally left it in oven a smidgen too long but it was still nice and tender. Irish it was, not that French horsey stuff. Nice breakfast too, giant fried mushrooms with a smidgen of garlic, mature cheddar cheese, baby tomatoes and a splodge of stilton in the middle.
