I don't think they were being ageist, if they (Chanel 4) thought he still pulled the viewers he would still be there, irrespective of his age...

The panel was told by witnesses from the TV station and IMG (the production company) that he was dropped because he was "offensive" and "disgusting".

Just goes to show that they speak whichever way their mouth falls open and if they think they can impress their 'friends'. On what do they base their judgement. I bet nobody actually knows him. He is actually kind, generous, good natured, anything but offensive and it would be hard to find a better dressed man about town.
