Now this is something that gets me going, every time you hear of the fire, police, ambulance services, the army, helicopter rescue etc, actually doing something, its rammed down your throat as to how many thousands of pounds the rescue operation has cost,,, ok, where's this fantasy figure come from, the feckers were sitting there getting paid for doing f all anyway, and as you say practice/training days, do you hear them moaning at the cost of them,,, No...Perfectspecimen wrote:Morning all. Manchester ring road, there's a section of it called the Mancunian Way, it's a raised motorway type section, two to three miles long, about once a year, usually a Sunday if I recall correctly they shut it so the emergency services can practice what to do in the event of an accident... Practice ! why the feck do they need to practice, there's two or three accidents on it every day...
