Only ever in one of them, that Nancy's thingy in Ballyliffin. Couldn't have been bowled over by it cos I dont even remember what I had. Been saying it for a while now, you'll get a full 3 course meal of top quality for less than 20 quid sterling ( generally includes complimentary tea or coffee )

I have never understood what are now described as "Irish bars" my memories of Irish bars were places where you could eat almost 24 Hrs per day ,and it wasn't fast rubbish food but good wholesome fare ,I have fond memories of winter patrols out in the sticks and sneaking away for a big bowl of soup and bread with a big lump of cheese and more times than not being coaxed into having a wee toddy to warm us up as we went on our way, we met "SMOKIN JOE FRASER" one night on such a patrol in county Londonderry, he was playing in a bar miles from anywhere with his band , forget the bands name , but the place was mobbed,[ quick night that was]
