I also hope you get a Yes, think of the money we can save instead of giving you lot free prescriptions, free uni tuition fees, and free care for the elderly

Re: What are you doing today??
Today I'm asking myself why my mates sold his house in Edinburgh and moved to Dunfermline, why, why, why...
Could jump a train from Manchester to Edinburgh, three and a quarter hours, then a ten minute bus ride to almost his door, then a two minute walk to the local...
Now, same train to Edinburgh, then another one to either Rosyth or Dunfermiline, then a taxi out to the sticks, not even a feckin pub within walking distance, just a great big feckin Tesco,,, why, why, why...

And don't forget the free bus passes, free entry to all local sports facilities, and the highest council taxes in Britain, but it's nice to know that people in Tenerife are also making a contributionGypsy wrote:

Just to interrupt for a second, today, ( What are you doing today) I'm looking at apartments for next year's hol's. Have it narrowed down to 6/7 but if anyone has any suggestions feel free to mention. ( The 6/7 apartments have been narrowed by budget, aircon, pool and at least 2 bedrooms).

Phew, you wont be interested in mine then....... Kate Bush is on the tele, mad as a bunch of frogs in a bag..... Or summat, cant remember the phrase. Today I have been continuing to de-clutter my house, 3 rooms so far........ Flying along then, at this rate I will get to the workshop by October. Anyone wanna buy some boats? Looking at one bed bungalows now, aint found one yet with giant barn in back yard. Reg has an interesting garage, looks like hes extended it over the years to accommodate more projects...... And why not I say. Just cracked open the second 2 litre bottle of council house cider, makes Funchal strip look expensive for chrissake,

Re: What are you doing today??
Dog wants walking. I must remember to look on job site to see if any proper jobs have turned up, not seen any for pole inspectors yet. I have to fill in a booklet detailing my job hunting activities which I should spend at least 35 hours a week on. Freddie tells me he used to fill in his sitting outside the jobcentre whilst having a fag.
I was kind of encouraged to say I am prepared to travel 90 minutes to work. This sounded a bit daunting to me at the time until I remembered there are no buses in my village, thank god for that then. I reckon I can walk 4.5 miles in that time which still leaves me well short of the nearest town. Phew. No, I cant ride a fecking horse either.

According to figures published by the Institute of Fiscal Studies, total public spending was around 11 per cent higher per person in Scotland than in the UK as a whole - so in my book that is taking out not adding.
Oil reserves lie in the waters off the Shetland Islands, whose population would rather be part of Norway than of an independent Scotland and they are past their peak so the cash will eventually run out. I think it is totally wrong for anyone who wants to go to be forced to stay so

Where are you looking. Somewhere quiet like the Golf or Los Gigantes or would it be Los Cris / Las Americas this time?
If the latter, Victoria Court, Cristian Sur, Paloma Beach all pretty good.

A. If that fiscal study lot base it on the Barnett formula it don't takes in the oil money...
B. Yip, I posted ages ago saying whats Salmond gonna do when the Shetlanders want their independence... (PS; I'm ok, I've got blood ties to Shetland)

Re: What are you doing today??
Leeds festival is on so my lad has been working (Taxi), 10 trips is about £250 i think,
He stopped at a garage to get a bottle of water and when he came out some bassa had kicked his door mirror off, looking at it i recon about £200, electric folding with the indicator in and colour coded,
The sooner we are issued with hand guns the better Sometimes i want to scream
