Well we had a right set to with her when she came back and sat at our table, the question she asked was "At which sporting event do you not have to cross the finish line to win ?", one team asked for clarification of the question, she then said, "In what type of race do you not have to cross the finish line to win"... the answer she wanted was swimming, which gave an opposing team the point the needed to draw with us, we had pursuit cycling, where if you catch your opponent before reaching the finishing line you win, she wouldn't have it, she didn't argue our answer was incorrect, but that she wanted an event, and that in all swimming events you do not cross the line to win, whereas in cycling in most events you have to cross the line, we pointed out her clarification of the question,  "In what type of race do you not have to cross the finish line to win"... She still wouldn't have it, basically she didn't want to admit she was wrong,,, women,,, she ended up spitting out her dummy and pissing off early, just as well, we'd probably have kicked the shit out of her when we got her outside,,, cost us a round of drinks she did...

As for the tiebreak question, "Smith is the most common surname in the UK, how many people in the UK have it." We thought about 10% of the population, so put six million, the other team put two and a half million, the answer was eight hundred odd thousand...

Thought I would pop down the local food bank. Lovely folks in there. They didnt ask too many questions, like are you a muslim, or diabetic, or vegetarian? Or even are you a waste of fecking space.    Obviously I tried to look the type but seeing as I dont own a pair of track suit bottoms it was going to be a struggle. I did put on my England shirt so I think they didnt notice, had Patch the dog in tow as well although hes not your typical pit bull type. Well, got something called Super Noodles, prawn flavour, more like piss flavour if you ask me but luckily I'm into that so in conjunction with the pineapple rings we used them for sex games. The cans of Super Meat could have done with some more seasoning though, picture of a nice doggy on the can so I guess they came from Taiwan, makes a change from horse meat burgers anyway. Afraid I had to bin the Scotch Porridge Oats, foreign crap again,    even Patch wouldnt eat gruel, he did gobble up the jars of baby food though, saves chewing. I'm saving the Super White Cider for this evening so to sum it all up a real Super experience, cant wait til Monday. Opens at 10.30, goody, if I get there by 11 I'll be first in line.

Enjoying the Super White strong cider from Lidl at the moment, comes in 2 litre bottles at just £2.29, handily packed in sixes. Bit hard to tuck under your shirt though, what i need is a baby in a pushchair..........

Hey I live in a very upmarket village you know. What goes on in the local towns is what goes on anywhere in the UK, I just talk about it frankly cos its bloody funny. If I lived near Brighton god only knows what I may notice.........

On the subject of football,,, Annie was flying back yesterday arriving 19:00 approx, so I leave my place and head hers, she said she just wanted something light and tasty to eat when she got back, so I go Asda on way, fresh salmon fillet on tagliatelle with roasted baby tomatoes on a bed of spinach with a carabonara  sauce, mmmm, yum it was, anyway, breakfast and a meal for tonight purchased (rump steaks) which we ain't having cos were going out, and a few bottles of wine, £101 in total I head out to get a taxi, bad timing, City's game had just finished, gridlock, ordered a taxi, but it had no chance of getting there, one hour forty five minutes in Asda cafe, four calls to the taxi company saying if the cab approaches Asda from the back road they would get in, but no,,, the only good thing, Asda cafe was full of blues also waiting for the traffic to die down a bit,,, aww, their sad little faces almost made the wait bearable...

Cam, is that Jim McGuinness fella still working for Celtic? He is a sports psychologist and also a physio I think. Anyway he is manager of the Donegal football team here who have just won in the biggest upset in years. They were 10\1 against to win versus Dublin today. They won deservedly by 6 points
