Went down to the boat this morning to refit the charged up batterys. Engine started and then stopped after about 5 minutes, the electric fuel pump is not pumping....... Also the electric pump for the cabin taps has similarly failed. I shall take them apart later to inspect the problem, then order some new ones.

Re: What are you doing today??
Missed out on cheapish flights yesterday, only Ryanair anyway. They must drop the price for a short time and then stick em back up again. Never mind, perhaps next week I will inspect the sausage factory.

Surfers on the Compost heap strip, Always seems busy but that dont mean it earns money,
The bars on there change all the time, I think they run up a load of debt then scarper,
Surfers has been there a long time tho, so might be the exception

Re: What are you doing today??
Surfers did have our products but our sausages use natural casings and these split if put in a deep fat fryer so they were not suitable. We now do a collagen cased sausage for the purpose of deep fat fryer bars and restaurants, but for some establishments our product is a bit expensive as we only use the finest Pork Shoulder and are over 83% pork, very low fat, This is a sign of the times and I get it if a bar knocks out a breakfast for 3 euro you will not get the very best quality products, does not mean its bad.
The new style sausage for high temperature speed cooking is just different in skin, it does not split in a deep fat fryer or hottest part of BBQ. I will take him some to try, nice guy.

Re: What are you doing today??
Sausage poisoning?
Went to jobcentre today, just caught the tail end of a big dispute in there. Skinny bird with 2 kids in tow screaming I'll just let my kids starve then shall I? One security guy talking down his walkie talkie, and eventually number 2 security guy turns up. Too late, shes gone. Anyway they are none too happy with me, I'm not applying for enough jobs. I must spend 35 hours a week on this quest. Jeez, I aint got many left to live, if you cant find jobs for my lads what chance have I got at 60 years old? You would be surprised she said, a life times experience you have. And she threatened to stop my money, feck me I havent got any yet. Click click click on the computer, you will get some on the 4th she said. Hmmm, lets hope theres enough for a fecking plane ticket.

Re: What are you doing today??
No sausage poisoning from us Vince, we are so so careful.
Just write down a list of places you have passed Vince, say you asked if any vacancies but none, if you go anywhere ask for an application form, you wont get one

Re: What are you doing today??
The trouble is I look so young and dynamic, how could anyone say no? Maybe I could be a lollipop man, but then again would you like to put the safety of your kids in my hands? And just how long would it be before one of the little darlings got accidentally or otherwise whacked on the bonce with the pole? Its a dilemma.

Bit of work to do,
Off in Barclays to tell them to close my business account after 40 years,
Give me my dosh you cheeky bleeders, I shall go to First Direct from now on,
I'm a bit annoyed about them shutting the branch, I like to moan at a person not a key board,

Re: What are you doing today??
You making faggots yet? I have applied for a job in a food factory, just to keep the soppy cow down the job centre happy, its the second week in a row shes thrust this application form at me, even provided a pre paid envelope. Strange because neither of my two lads have been offered this opportunity. Maybe they just look too thick. Question one was what position are you applying for. I just wrote Any. What particular atributes do you have for this job? Well that was easy, I know everything about everything dont I. Guess I'll be in the board room by next week then........

Old guy who gets around our local pub, well not actually as old as he looks, heard it was his birthday so I buy him a pint, tells me he's 58, he looks 70+, oh and he wasn't being vain! locals tell me he had a good job at one time, guy got some sort of illness left him crippled, hobbles along with a walking stick at zero miles per hour, lives behind the pub, takes him about a hour to get there,,, he's in the pub one night a bit upset, got a letter from the jobcentre, he's got to come in for an assessment, he goes, anybody could see this guy ain't putting it on, plus I have to say the guy had really lost the plot on how to look after himself,,, no chance anybody's going to employ him,,, but at the assessment it's decided he's got to go on some job career course,,, WTF, the guys one step from the grave, he paid in to the system, but some jobsworth twat at the jobcenter needed a tick in the box, day one at the course he's told no need to come back.......

Re: What are you doing today??
Went out for a meal last night, thought we would give the quiz a miss because of the cheaters. However when the krapioki started we said sod it and went round to our pub just in time to join in.
The landlord was pleased to see us as he suspected why we were not there at our usual time. He stood right next to the cheating team all night. So nobody had a chance to use their mobiles and they lost by 10 points. We won Yippee!!! Only €30 but it keeps the kitty topped up.
