This headlines been on the news all day...

Incident happened at 09:45, the station/line is still closed causing travel disruption to thousands...
Initial news reports said the police were treating the incident as suspicious, so one suspects a third party is involved and has pushed them in front of the train, then on the BBC three o'clock news it says the police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the case, so it looks like the woman's taken her own life taking the kid with her, probably the whole incidents on CCTV, if not the train driver probably had a good view,,, but what do plod do, one, take 45 minutes to get there, then shut the station/line down disrupting thousands as I have already said, then start taking photos and playing with inch tapes and chalk,,, then in a few months time there will be an inquest etc, etc...
Japan,,, watched a TV documentary on Tokyo's largest station a few months back, suicide there is quite a common occurrence, what do they do,,, get the body off the line ASAP and get the trains running...
The railway authorities out there are also pushing the government to pass a law to allow them to sue the suicidal persons family for the cost of the disruption they have caused...
No disrespect to the person who has taken their life, must have been in a hell of a state to do so, but must the authorities make a meal of it,,, same as they do with road accidents, motorways shut for hours...
