Apply for a job Reg, you can tell a story. Now I will tell you some facts......... The jetstream has been flowing across the South of UK for some time now and is predicted to stay the same for the next week or two, anything North of there hence will be subject to all the rain and shite flowing off the Atlantic. Until it moves North you Scots can expect plenty of rain and indeed most of the North of England too. 
And we aint fairing much better here either, Gibraltar is probably your best bet.

Thinking about it we have had gusting winds for some time now, direct result of the jetstream 5 miles up with 100 mph winds causing turbulence down here. Same thing happens on the planes when they approach the jetsream, turbulance. Now you know........
