Well I never !

Went for a pint at lunchtime and a chap was telling me about that good old Scottish drink, Camp Coffee.

Apparently five years ago, the PC brigade complained about the label on the bottle, so it had to be changed.

Some Asian shopkeepers were apparently even refusing to sell the stuff ! ! ! They are quite happy to sell pornography and counterfeit booze/fags though.

Anyway, the old bottles with the "original" labels are now a collectors item and are worth a few quid.

So, have a look in you kitchen cupboards folks - this time next year you could be a millionaire.

I was based in Hohne in Germany. Our NAAFI was called The Roundhouse. Matt Munro came and sang for us in 1974 I think.
It used to be a German Gestapo HQ during the war and it's only a couple of miles from Belsen concentration camp. That's a creepy feckin' place...went round it a couple of times. Spooky.

At RAF Wittering they used to bus them in from nearby Corby.

We referred to them as the Corby Commandos.

Rosythe, we once had Sweaty Jock the Dabtoe, not famous but bloody good show. He was a magician, start singing and everyone disappeared. Threw me off the Heli deck once coz I told him I a Manchester Tart for him, he didn't realise it was a pudding.

I think I'm still banned from The Penquin Club in Limassol for doing the Dance of the Flaming Arsehole.

Wahay! I've done that as well! You weren't really a proper squaddie until you'd stuffed lit toilet paper up your arse while dancing to the latest hit! Always went down well in the NAAFI that one.God knows what those poor bloody women who used to work there thought. lol.

PS I've just remembered we used to do it while singing "Zulu Warrior"!

We did that on my Stag weekend few years back, just to remember.........news paper, burnt loger and more pain.
