Re: Forum today
I have a suspicion that the forum ( or rather the pop up blocker part )may not be fully compatable with Safari. If the above suggestion doesn't work, maybe download Firefox for iOS systems and see will that make a difference. Seems too much of a coincidence that Kev, Minty ( possibly Carol) are the only ones having problems and they are all on Apple products.

Re: Forum today
All working OK for me today, note I have not carried out the iPad update I mentioned yesterday so my iPad is in exactly the same state as yesterday.

Re: Forum today
I've got rid of the ads on the forum Minty. I'm typing this from my wee Asus tablet, but the browser I'm using is Chrome, not Safari.

Re: Forum today
I lleave the tweeting to Cam I usually just keep an eye on what we need to pay for but since using an I phone it is harder. I will do from laptop now got it back. It was what I said I think, the ad blocker and cam has done it. People can stick a bit of credit on the forum to help run it if they want.

Re: Forum today
Yeah, you did Dermo. It used to channel to Paypal but not anymore. I'll have to have a look and see if I can make it channel somewhere else!

Re: Forum today
No, I've had a look in the support forum and "due to Paypal restucture, donation does not work in some forums". I'll keep looking to see if I can find a workaround...

Re: Forum today
No. I thought I'd found a workaround but everyone who wanted to donate would have to have a PayPal account.

Feck it! It's the best I can do! Here's what I've done...
There is now a "donate" button at the bottom of every post I make. The link will take you to my PayPal account. If you wish to donate to the forum, just fill in the amount in the link. I will then add this to the forum "credits" in the Admin Panel. The one drawback to this is that you have to have a PayPal account to send the money, however this is a simple and quick thing to do. If you do donate, can I ask you please to keep the currency in GBP.
At the moment only Admin can add credits because we have to go into the Admin panel, which means the same people are paying all the time. This way, anyone can access my PayPal (as long as they have a PayPal account), and donate any time they wish.
I will set up a new thread named "Donations", and I will acknowledge each payment made, unless the donater wishes to remain anonymous, in which case I will show the amount donated. It isn't an expensive forum to run, we only pay to keep our Domain name, "Tenerife's Forum of Fun", which is approx. €20/annum and we also pay to keep adverts off at €11/annum.
Thanks in advance, Admin.

Don't you dare! You've put enough in! We're OK for a wee while anyway. I thought PayPal was international?

too late. I'm getting a message that "Paypal.me" hasn't been launched in Ireland yet. I never heard of it before tbh.

Re: Forum today
I only found it today Dermo and I thought if I can use the link and embed it into a donate button it would give me a workaround. Which to be fair, it has! Hopefully, it is available in the rest of the UK and not just Scotland!
