Been there done it, some years back company I worked for was taken over, my job was duplicated and I thought I'd be paid off but they offered me a job as being second in control of our department rather than in charge, I took job but found it difficult answering to someone, something I'd not done for years... So I see a job advertised at a depot of a large multi national company, I thought I'll go for that, at interview there's their HR manager, a young female, she was ok, their accountant an older guy, again ok, and the MD, he was a prat, young kid probably with a degree in something,,, he led the interview, it was as if he's not read my CV, I could see the old accountant guy thinking this MD is a prat, anyway, interviews drawing to an end, MD says to me, "do you think you could handle the job,,, I say "well given you've only got 28 vehicles and 35 drivers, and I've been used to dealing with 1700 vehicles and 3000 drivers I think I could handle it,,, I was actually thinking I could keep my current job on and do this one on a Saturday morning",,, The HR girl didn't know where to look, the old accountant guy could hardly contain himself, and the MD prat and myself just stared each other out, the interview finished shortly after that...
