Reg, can I pick your brains? Can I get a towbar fitted to this?  Crafter

155.000 miles  is the tow bar to tow it to the garage, There is a firm that make towbars for motorhomes to pull little cars about, also VW will sell a towbar for it but it will be expensive

Quick search brings up Tow sure £142, probably need a wiring kit about £12 last time i bought one, also somebody to fit it that understands modern wiring

Crafter has a timing belt that should be changed about !00k or 5 years if that snaps you will have to keep chickens in it,
Sprinter has a chain but if it has not been serviced well they can let go too,
big mileage thin ice all round, reason people get shut after 100k is past their sell by date

Thanks Reg. I'm going to give it a swerve. Messaged the guy. Asked him if there was a service history. He replied "don't know". I said "can you find out then". His response was "Van is always serviced to date and always got what needed". So I said "So, thats a no then?. He hasn't replied

Minefield out there   If you must buy used make sure the owner had it serviced and not just the book stamped up (easy to do ) but has all the receipts to show you, if not walk away,
Guy just bought a second hand Range Rover from a garage for £40k had it 4 weeks and the Crankshaft broke , look that up for a common problem, garage told him to go forth he should have known about it  
so the guy took it into my garage Simon Green and asked him to verify what is up, £2k later Simon says your Crank shaft has broke, so now the guy wont pay Simon and has solicitors trying to sue Land Rover and the garage that sold him it, I can tell you now he wont get anywhere,Minefield out there

Fred has left me his 2010 diesel Kia Rio to dispose of since leaving these shores. It has done a massive 318,000 miles! Before he got it one lady owner from new and full service history (receipts). I have driven it and it drives perfectly with everything working! I told him I would probably struggle to get £800 for it but to be honest I'm reluctant to let it go. £30 road tax and 109bhp whats not to like? Yeah, I know, the name on the bonnet. 

Kia and Hyundai all good cars, basic but good, Brits done make feck all and everything else seems a bit suspect now, If i had to buy a new car it would be one of them i'm afraid
