Tenerife Weather - September 2011

There are a few clouds about this morning but the temps 26C and rising. Feels nice and fresh rather than sticky.

It started off as a lovely morning but a few grey clouds are about now, it is still warm though at 25c

Forgot I was doing the weather thread

Yesterday was nice a bit cloudy but hot when you were in the sun.

Today not a cloud in sight and 25.5C

Lucky you...I can't see the other side of the street for fog!

I have just been on Tripadvisor and told everyone it was 32C here this afternoon, it is still 27C and on checking
AEMET we will be on Yellow Alert on Wednesday from 11.00 - 18.00 for high temperatures.

It showed today as 28C so must be pretty accurate.

Great site Juba, perhaps a signature for Tenerife weather with the link.

Don´t forget though that the weather station is at the airport and therefore a degree or two cooler than the southern resorts as it is generally windy.

I use this site as you can then choose your station Weather Underground As you can see when you open it up the temp at the airport is 23C but click on station select and you get a list.

Los Cris being 25.3, Puerto Santiago 27.1 so you can choose the closest to your location.

The only words needed are Hot Hot Hot, we are on Yellow alert today and tomorrow

Oh what a lovely blue sky.

You still get burnt though,

Lots of mist again this morning, but already clearing and hot. Yesterday reached 36C on my patio at that point I went indoors and closed the curtains. Yesterday evening we were told it was 40C in the resorts. Sent this to Oneleg to show him the morning mist - he reckons it's me exhaling wacky-baccy

Phew. Do you have access to a pool Queenie? About 3 years ago they went mad on my complex and cut right back all the trees and shrubs that gave shade round the pool, fortunately they have now grown back again. No way I'm gonna sit in direct sunshine in that heat! No sign of that sun you're looking at here. Jumpers have come out early this year.

Stunning weather, although it is actually lovely here today.

Been to my friends in Chimiche - glad to be home in the cool south where its only 31 it was 43 up there and killing.

It is very hot again, it was still 26C in Las Americas at 9.00pm last night when we were there.

We haven't been anywhere near that in Scotland all summer in the daytime!
