Had an unexpected job to do, got a call asking me if I would take a couple of German tourists to the place where Harry Potter
is filmed, so away to Alnwick we went. You can just see my black taxi to the right of the picture
Alnwick Castle is the second largest inhabited castle in England, and has been the home of the Percys, Earls and Dukes of Northumberland
since 1309.
The castle is well known now as Hogwarts in the film Harry Potter.
Ok so I dropped my customers of in the main carpark give them my number for when they wanted me to pick them up and found a nice free
car park about 5 minutes drive away got my camera and walked towards the woods.
Next it was time to explore the town, its a great little place with lots of little side streets which have cafes and shops.
I found a little market square, not much going on but I bet it was amazing hundreds of years ago
I turned a corner and heard someone shouting my name, and to my surprise it was Delboy (private joke, Delboy's from my Majorca site).
A great looking bronze, wonder how much I could get if I weighed it in hehehehe
Further along I came to the castle walls, its a fantastic place, real medieval looking.
Well I got the call to pick up my customers and just didnt have enough time to get more info and pictures BUT, on the way out I
came across this little surprise, I said I had to stop to get a photo and they did the same.
I have been to Alnwick before but still enjoyed the afternoon there again, its well worth a visit, I noticed most of the car parks were £3.50
for the day which is not as bad as I thought it would be. Lots of little B&B's a few Hotels and alot of bars there.
