Transferring from TFS to Los Gigantes area Empty Transferring from TFS to Los Gigantes area

There are several ways to do this, if you arrive early in the day you can take public transport and go around the houses (great if you don´t know the island you get to see different areas)

Taxi, whizz along the motorway at breakneck speed and pay in excess of €50 for the pleasure. Or hire a car, if you don´t want to hire for the duration of your stay how about this for an idea.

You can hire a car from Cicar for €25 for a Corsa, picked up at TFS, dropped off 24 hours later at Puerto Santiago office (they call it their "Los Gigantes" office). The insurance is fully inclusive, except for lost keys and wrong fuel. Child seats are f.o.c. No deposit taken apart from for the fuel in the car at pick-up. This is refunded provided the car is returned with the same amount of fuel. (5 euros easily covers this).

Sounds a bargain and even doing the same on the return journey works out to the price of a one way taxi.

Gypsy, their office in Puerto Santiago was closed when i was there in July. Don't know if it was permanent or not but it looked pretty deserted.

You have me confused now D, because someone posted the information including the office location on the Los Gigantes message board this morning. They said they had been in contact by email with Cicar and clarified the price and situation on the petrol and I thought it was so much cheaper than the other options.

According to the Titsa website you can get bus 111 direct to Las americas and another direct to Gigantes. Day time-ish of course. Dont forget your Bono card available from 2 airport outlets. Next time go somewhere more central ffs. :sulk2:
