Glenfinnan monument and Loch Shiel. This is where "Bonnie Prince Charlie" first raised his standard in the ill-fated Jacobite rebellion which culminated with the destruction of his forces at Culloden. (I'm gonnae greet noo...sniff sniff.)
Glenfinnan viaduct. Lately been seen all over the world when Harry Potter's "Hogwart Express" steamed over it...
End of the railway at Mallaig on the West coast...

Yep, bet you didn't know Edinburgh is further west than Cardiff. UK leans heavily from bottom right to top left. Check out a map with grid lines on it...
