    That was my first time in a museum M. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

    The museum is a fabulous place , not at all boring , it would take more like a week to see it all, if you have any interest in human achievements this is the place to see them and perhaps touch them , a good idea is to plan a whole day of things you would like to see and plan a route around the place as a lot of time can be wasted just browsing things in the passing

    Agree, spent days there with my parents as a kid, once  old enough and could get in on my own or with friends, always looks at my favourites first, the colliery model, the big train, the light house model, and all other things technical before I ventured to the other bits, not been since the refurbish...

    Adam if you haven,t been since the refurb get yourself up here and see the old place ,it is more like a theme park[historic] than a museum it looks so modern and trendy and not at all stuffy like it used to be , trouble is it is so good that it is always packed

    Yes it,s still free , but Cam if you are driving it would be a nightmare unless you use the park and ride at Sherrifhall
