Now I know a bit about wood Reg. Ash is very stiff and hard and you need stiffness in a soft top due to it having no roof. All sounding good so far? Now the downside, it readily SPLITS. In fact I have a 10" X 2" plank of it in my garage, well it used to be 10" wide, now in two halves about 5" wide. No doubt it will come in handy one day.......
