So pleased you've been there Gypsy, your revue was spot-on.  I usually go there on a Sunday night as the place is buzzing, they have a great local band (youngest being 65) playing 5 guitars and singing some very infectious latin classics and some Canarian folk songs. They work hard and play constantly from 7-00pm until 10-00, the clientele on a Sunday is mainly local Canarian families although the band do have a throng of 'groupies' with an average age of 70, who dance all night and add to the atmosphere.   I have always found the food very good value and of high quality, the fish is fresh and the meat excellent, one always hears fables of big steaks being served up to visiting holiday makers in numerous newly discovered places on the island but very often you need a pet crocodile to chew the meat for few minutes before you eat it but the entrocote at  Chiringo  is minimum 16 ounces, tender & tasty and excellent value at 12 euros served with mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes and chips or potatoes, we always start with a bucket of mussels cooked in red wine, chilli's, onions and garlic, it serves 4 with a dollop of fresh bread.  We have done lunch there a few times as they do a giant pan of paella which serves about 100 portions.      Through the day and most nights it's just a good value eatery in a great location with a spectacular view but on a Sunday it is a place to behold as the atmosphere is great with the wonderful sight of watching about 20 ladies who have been dancing all night lining up and edging for pole position to tear-ass up the road in their invalid scooters when the band has finished.
