Re: Punta de Teno Lighthouse
I don't think you can now, there were a lot of problems with rockfalls and I seem to remember that the authorities closed the road to everyone but locals who live along the road.

The road is closed but everyone just ignores it, the place is very busy, and incidentally nicely unspoiled.

Re: Punta de Teno Lighthouse
From Janet Anscombe's website
"The Tenerife Cabildo has reopened the TF445 to Punta de Teno. As of this afternoon (27/07/15), the road is again open to traffic after technicians gave the go-ahead following extensive and extended works. Tenerife president Carlos Alonso thanked locals for their patience and said that the main objective was safety. The risk of rockfalls, which were a frquent danger, is estimated to have been reduced from 70% to 30%, with some four or five incidences a year now expected following heavy winds or rain. Some works are still continuing, and the carriageway still has to be tarmacked, but from now, this iconic route in the north west tip of Tenerife, with its tunnels and archways, sheer cliffs and stunning views from what seems to be the end of the world, is open to the public once again."

Re: Punta de Teno Lighthouse
She got it from the newspapers the same as I did. HERE but fails to give credit as to where info comes from, which is one of the reasons her posts are not allowed on various forums. and there are some silly arses that think she researches it all herself.
