FRED. Olsen has announced its local summer schedule, containing multiple connections between the Santa Cruz port in La Palma and Los Cristianos, with a record 10 sailings a week.
There are six connections between Tenerife South and the La Palma capital currently. And, until the end of June, the ferry leaves La Palma at 5.30am for a journey of about 2½ hours. The return voyage departs Los Cristianos at 1pm.
The situation will change dramatically from July, when the shipping company has scheduled ferries every day and, sometimes, up to two frequencies on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
In August, the month which attracts the most Canarian tourists to the Island, the schedule reaches 10 services a week in Tenerife: one every day as a general rule, leaving at 6am, and another at 4pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
And the prices are excellent. If you book through the website, the price is just 24 euros per resident per trip.
