Thats nice, propaganda using humour as the vehicle. Thank you Frau Queenie.
Now, just to even it up a bit, how many European Nations have disposed of their army? None. Decimilisation had feck all to do with Europe, it was just common sense. I have a personal preference for working in mm and kgs, again, common sense. I weigh 100kg but I dont know what that is in stones. I never think of the temperature in farenheit, oops that must be a German word, but degrees centigrade, again, sensible 0-100. I shop in Lidl at least once a week, not because the food is different, just checked my cupboards and I cant see anything there thats not typically British, but because its cheaper. I remember eating German sausage as a child, we called them savoloys, and spaghetti and even curry. No saurkraut though, or frogs legs and snails.
We still do miles, we still drive on the wrong side of the road and we still have Sterling. The whole world has GMT from which we also Navigate,,,,,,, in Nautical miles both on sea and in the air. If you dont speak English you cannot be a pilot because that was chosen as the International language.
Lets hear it for the Brits.
And please stand firm today Theresa.
Talking of Lidl, the 1kg lump of mature cheddar I always buy has now become 830g??? Cheeky buggers.
Where did you learn that? Tesco?
