Its an electric truck called the Nikcola after Nikcola Tesla, six electric motors one driving each wheel and a big battery charged by a gas turbine engine running on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), first of them go on the road in the USA in December, 5000 already pre ordered, costs about $300,000 but in with that you get a supply of CNG to cover a million miles, company developing the truck also own the wells that supply the CNG...
Impressive bit, 0 to 60mph in 3 seconds, I take it that's without a trailer, but still impressive, some of the worlds best sports cars can't do that...

Would seem truck ain't going to plan, but what a 0 to 60 figure for the car...

But it ain't a surprise, worked on a few electric milk floats at one time, voltage from battery was fed in to electric motor in four stages to smooth out acceleration but bit that done that screwed up sometimes and at a touch of the accelerator pedal full battery voltage straight in to electric motor, two black tyre lines up the road from a milk float,,, all electric motor knows is I get "X" voltage from battery and I the motor will turn at "X" amount of RPM in a split second,,, tended to break a half shaft when it happened if milk float was loaded, couldn't accelerate mass of milk float quick enough, but empty,,, burn the rubber...
