Can any one tell me how to get this off without stripping the plastic thread? Feckin' thing unscrews so far then jams tight, I don't want to force it and feck it completely!

Congratulations. You have a car specially designed to defeat the home mechanic. Freds car is currently undergoing surgery that I cant perform. Moral of the story today folks is feck the planet, these new cars are crap.
