    A bumper July added to the recovery of the Canary Islands’ tourism sector boosting the total number of visitors for this year past 5.8 million.

    The figures for the year to July show an increase of more than 20 per cent over the same period last year and place the Canary Islands second on the list of the most popular destinations in Spain.
