i do find it incredulous that the sun lambasted corbyn for having ties with sin fein. i wonder if they will be as proactive with the conservatives being in bed with the DUP

Yep, Northern Ireland will quickly become a big problem way things are. They were arguing on tele today whether May can last 5 years. Personally I think 5 days would be more appropriate.

Not a hope in he'll of SF taking their seats. Originally SF didn't recognise any gov on the island of Ireland. When they voted in 86 to run in elections in the south, the organisation split into Provisional and Republican Sin Fein. Republican SF still believe armed struggle is the only way of ridding the island of UK governance and still doesn't recognise the government in Dublin. The split was led by the father of one of my old school pals. He was a very mild mannered gentleman who wouldn't say a bad word about anyone, Catholic protestant or Muslim, English Irish or Arab. Just had total belief that Ireland should be Irish. He was also chief of staff of the IRA during the worst of times. I could neverfathom how there could be such opposite sides of the same coin
