Banner advert.
Anybody else getting this, I may be wrong but didn't Cam disable the "banner" advertising thing a bit time back,,, well today I started getting that little "i" thing in the bottom right corner of where banner would be, sometimes it would try to open up in to a banner flashing back and forward between the "I" and the banner, sometimes banner would appear, and if you click on the "i" the full page advert I show appears...

Re: Banner advert.
Forum is doing my head in today, mega problems:-
Back to top of page arrow not working.
When I try to scroll the page up or down it jumps about all over the place.
Forum keeps crashing and having to reload.
Keypad keeps locking up. (I've actually typed this as a notes document and copied and pasted it)
Problem is only on this forum, iPad is working as normal everywhere else...

Sorry Minty, but I'm still OK on my laptop. If I can't see it I can't fix it.

Re: Banner advert.
Problems still persisting, actually even worse, threads only half loading, forum jumping from thread to thread by itself...
I've just tried logging out and back in again, even reset iPad although it's working OK everywhere else, made no difference...
Again I've had to type this as a notes document then copy and paste,,, I only get a few letters or words typed in post reply box and keypad locks up...
Problem started after the "banner" advertising thing reappeared, it's still doing the same thing as I described in the original post on this thread...

Re: Banner advert.
Came on forum, got through looking at about three quarters of the new posts ok then it started playing up, back to top of page arrow not working, page going all over the place when you try to scroll it up or down, jumping threads...
I've actually managed to ty
Got as far as above and keypad locked, was about to say I've actually managed to type this without keypad locking up,,, when keypad locks screen locks as well, iPads basically frozen, I normally switch it off and back on but doing that I lose anything I've typed, today I just waited and after a couple of minutes keypad started working again so I've been able to complete this post...

Re: Banner advert.
Last night when forum was just a nightmare on iPad I borrowed Annie's works laptop and logged in on it, forum worked ok, what I did notice was on some threads the small "i" where the banner advert should be appeared and on other threads there would be a white banner box, no advert in it, just a white box...
I went back back on iPad and forum was just nightmare, yet everything else on iPad is ok...
I've had to type this as a notes document and copy and paste, after sending previous post on this thread forum would not let my type this one, keypad just locked...

Re: Banner advert.
O
Right,,, sick of this now...
Let's go back in history...........................
"If" I recall correct,,,
Advertising banner is pissing people off, didn't bother me, so someone (I suspect Cam as I blame him for everything,,, only because it's usually his fault),,, gives us an option to get rid of it,,, I didn't cos mine had pictures of naked women all over it for some unknown reason...
Next forum is getting pissed around (Someone, I suspect Cam reckons it's got something to do with the banner advertising thing) so he gets rid of the banner thing...
Then a few days ago the advertising banner thing starts trying to appear on my screen again and my problems start...
Now I know Cam you ain't prepared to have a go at fixing this as I'm the only poor bas#ard having a problem and you don't want to fu#k it up for all of them other feckers, but feck them or I'll be over that new bridge.......
Or,,, as I have already said if I recall correct,,, you told us how to get rid of the advertising banner,,, SO HOW DO I DO IT,,, as I feel problem ties in with it reappearing somehow...
Oh, this post was produced by Copy & Paste Productions LTD...
