The last few nights in Tenerife the waves were crashing on the rocks and while sat in the beach club having lunch on the last Friday the waves came right up to the wall on the west side on El Camison beach washing everybodys bags etc  away, never seen that before High tide 3275847336

Seen it happen on Las Vistas some years back, we'd been on the beach at the TRG end, packed up our stuff and went to one of the restaurants overlooking that corner of the beach for lunch, wave comes in and floods whole corner of beach, water came right up to promenade wall, people's belongings, sun beds etc washed around everywhere, funny as hell it was watching everyone trying to find their belongings, that said, if it had happened twenty minutes or so earlier we'd have been doing the same...

Looking at tide tables on website I can see Saturdays high tide was 1.1m in Los Cristianos. To put that in perspetive the tide at Skegness comes up 6m and thats by no means the highest in UK. The highest tide predicted for this year for Tenerife is 1.4m but without looking through every month I cant see when that is. Low air pressure can effect the height dramatically as in storm situation......
