Re: Malaysian GP 2017
Watched it this morning, Max was good start to finish, Lewis did not have the car he needed but he beat Vettel which is always good, he swerved into somebody at the end as usual and lost a quarter of his car which is funny as feck

The crash was the highlight then. Yesterdays highlight for me at Snetterton was seeing a car burst into flames as it approached where I was standing, think it was oil that caught fire as the staff spent the next 15 minutes pouring cement on the slick. A welcome break.

Re: Malaysian GP 2017
Garage I worked for as an apprentice along with other local garages provided recovery assistance at race meetings at the local race track Ingelston, there was no pay for it, garage got a bit free advertising and whichever member of staff decided to do it got a free day at the racing, how it worked, after each race breakdown trucks done a lap of the circuit recovering any smashed or broke down race cars...
So first time I done it I'm told to take company Land Rover with a towed gib attachment, picture below is old but is only one I could find, at the race circuit no one wanted our type of recovery assistance, they either wanted a straight tow or car put on a trailer, so next time I'm asked to do it I say to boss it would be better if I took our car trailer, so I do...
After one race I'm called to recover a broken down Formula Ford type cat, owner/driver of car is still with it so he is assisting (sort of overseeing) car being put on trailer rear end first, because of low ground clearness of car we belly it on rear end of trailer damaging body work, oops,,, we then gets to the pits, the driver is in cab of Land Rover guiding me to where he is based in pits, he suddenly shouts stop, I do, but his car didn't, shot straight in to trailer winch knocking a hole in the race cars dry sump systems oil tank, oil everywhere, oops 2,,, this guy ain't a happy bunny and is kicking off at me, I say you assisted putting car on trailer didn't you put the handbrake on, he says it's a race car it don't have one,,, ok I'll give him that one...
