Coffee tip.
Here's a wee tip if you are making instant coffee at home...don't add milk, pour in some evaporated milk.

Re: Coffee tip.
If the milk had evaporated surely there wouldn't be anything left?

Re: Coffee tip.
Ignore them LR, it is the only way to drink instant coffee. Fortunately I have a coffee machine and an OH that likes to play with it so get froffy coffee but try to stick to only 1 a day.

I've had it a long time and their are better ones about today. Too much coffee is not good for me anyway.

Re: Coffee tip.
Don't add boiling water, let it cool for about 30 seconds as you will scald it.

Re: Coffee tip.
The best one we had was from that cheap little kitchen shop as you get to the top of the escalator at Carrefour. It cost just €34 and was used daily for almost 3 years. The one we have now is good came from Megacentre and cost around €70 and is a Delongi Veneto

Re: Coffee tip.
How many cups a day would you drink Gypsy? I was having 3 or 4 a day up until a few weeks ago and suddenly I was awake half the night. Cut it out completely and sleep pattern returned to normal almost immediately.

Re: Coffee tip.
2 absolute max 3F one on a morning and then maybe one on an evening if home. If out I will always have a barraquito at the end of a meal but they are only tiny.
You need less sleep the older you get - Mermaid and I were emailing each other at 2.30am the other morning :What?:

Thanks Gypsy, that looks like it has hot and cold sliding doors etc. Does it make fuzzy milk? I was something that you don't need a degree to operate and is easy to clean, also mus'nt take up the whole kitchen. We don't drink much coffee but like a good cup when we do

Cru it is quite small I would say only takes up about 12" of kitchen worktop. The water goes in the back. Yes it has a steamer so makes frothy milk. It must be easy to use cos OH doesn´t have a problem, his toy, his job, I just wait for breakfast in bed !!

My daughter has one of those fancy pod ones. I am still waiting to sample a coffee. She only drinks Hot chocolate, she doesn't like coffee lol

Re: Coffee tip.
OH says he just wants a coffee maker, does'nt want fuzzy milk or anything fancy like that. Looks like we will be looking at basic models then. Just want one with a permanent filter though, maybe a timer.
We had one of those pod ones in UK, the pods are expensive, which is why we did not bring it out here...
