We didn't have the rain as bad here in Northumberland being close to the borders however the winds were unbelievable yet today its just a light breeze and blue skies mind its brassic.
Goes from one extreme to another yesterday afternoon it was like a hurricane couldn't see out the window for a wall off 45 degree monsoon like rain an hour later the sky was clear with a stunning red sky sunset.

Dull here today but dry. Still a few roads closed yet though as there's nowhere for the water to drain into. The fields are all flooded.

We had that weather in Dublin last month. Flash floods. One woman drowned in her basement flat. She was a nurse on nights and was asleep when the water hit. It must have risen very fast cos she didnt make it out her front door.
